Grantmaking Approach
The Lee and Dory Cruz Foundation makes grants by invitation only.
The Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals. Organizations are identified and selected through outreach initiated by the Foundation.
Grant decisions are based on alignment with the Foundation’s focus areas, demonstrated organizational effectiveness, and compliance with applicable nonprofit regulations.
Eligibility
To be considered for funding, organizations must:
Be recognized as a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Be in good standing with applicable regulatory authorities
Align with one or more of the Foundation’s focus areas
For Invited Organizations
Invited organizations may be asked to provide:
- A brief description of the organization and its mission
- A description of the intended use of grant funds
- Confirmation of current 501(c)(3) status
- Contact information for the organization’s authorized representative
Additional documentation may be requested as appropriate.
Timing
Grants are generally awarded on an annual basis at the discretion of the Foundation.
